Old floors can become dull, scratched, and yellowed over time. Daily mopping does not remove stubborn dirt from the floors. Stripping removes all of the old finish leaving a completely clean surface for new finish.
How often should you get your floors stripped and waxed?
The frequency of this service will be based on the amount and type of floor traffic in your facility. Ideally, we would recommend yearly floor stripping for business that decline our Stay Beautiful maintenance program. Our Stay Beautiful maintenance program is design to keep your floors like great at all times while extending the strip and wax cycle.
How long does the service take?
Each service is unique. Depending on the size & number of the areas to strip, the number of layers of old finish to be removed, and the complexity of the work area (small, crowded offices vs. open areas). For each project, we begin with a minimum of 4 4-hour window. The size and difficulty of the project will ultimately set the time budget for your project.
When can I walk on the floor?
We recommend a two (2) hour waiting period between applying the last coat of finish and opening the area to foot traffic.
Opening the floor to foot traffic too soon can lead to:
Footprints & tracks in the floor finish
Scuff marks and damage to floor finish
What do we move?
From the work area, we move small, light items such as chairs, small tables, plants, rolling chairs, anything with wheels. We do not move desks, file cabinets, heavy boxes, full bookshelves, etc. We do not move electronics.
Can we be in the building while the service is being performed?
No, for safety concerns, we require that no one else is in the work area/building during the floor care service.
What can I expect from your floor care service?
